The Tony and Bros. team is great to work with and I'd highly recommend them. A few months back, I purchased an early 90s Mercedes W124 that was in really clean shape on the exterior and interior, but had a few key mechanical issues that made it tough to fully appreciate and enjoy the vehicle. The one that bugged me the most was a persistent vibration that popped up around 38mph, and would only get worse at higher speeds. And when you accelerated at 60mph, the whole vehicle had this high-frequency shudder that you'd feel everywhere. I took it to a couple other reputable shops that worked on German vehicles, and while they were able to fix some other things that needed fixing, neither had a strong and clear recommendation on how to fix the vibration. Taking it to Tony & Bros. they diagnosed it fairly quickly as needing a new drive shaft and some other related parts (which I suspected based on previous visits to the other mechanics and my own research). They sourced a replacement and finally solved the issue -- car drives super smooth at any speed. What a relief! It wasn't an inexpensive repair, but they did the job and gave some new life to the vehicle. They also fixed some other odds and ends, like replacing some bulbs in the car's Euro-style headlights and the brittle third brake light. All together, they addressed all the issues I came for, and did so without any fuss. The team also recommended some other key issues to address over time, so I appreciate that I have an effective, trusted shop nearby that can help me navigate through my first "vintage" car ownership experience.
